Bon Voyage

After checking out of our Hotel room we waited in a Crystal Hospitality Room until it was time to depart to the ship. While there, we watched the video of the 2006 World Cruise. We saw some familiar faces and enjoyed seeing all of the wonderful events that were part of this voyage.

Arrangements were made by Crystal to transport each World Cruise Passenger from the Hotel to the Miami Cruise Ship Term the Hotel at 11:30 AM and we arrived at the Cruise Ship Terminal at 12:00 Noon. The check-in process was very quick as there was no line to wait on. We boarded the ship and proceeded directly to the dining room for lunch. We had a wonderful lunch and then proceeded to our stateroom.

Keith took care of various items such a getting us signed up for the computer plan so that we can utilize the computer from our stateroom, and also checked on our dining room reservations. Anne Marie stayed in the room and started to unpack. The delivery of the luggage took a little longer than normal possibly due to the large quantity of luggage that had to be processed due to the World Cruise and also the extra baggage screening that took place at the terminal.. As of 4:00 PM we had only received one garment bag, but about 30 minutes later all but one piece of luggage arrived. By the time we got back to the stateroom after dinner, our last piece arrived. So, the good news is that we have all of our luggage on-board the ship. ☺

We received some wonderful gifts, which included journals for the World Cruise along with World Cruise backpacks, hats, and jackets.

We met our cabin stewardess, Jasmina, who will be with us the entire World Cruise. She seems very nice and we went over with her any special needs that we have.

We had a wonderful dinner. Our headwaiter is terrific and coincidentally it is the same headwaiter we had during the open lunch seating. We are sitting with two other couples; one who we sat with at last nights gala and one who will be on the first two segments of this world cruise.

We are so very happy to be on the Crystal Serenity and excited to begin our World Cruise Adventure.

Tomorrow, we will enjoy our first day at sea before arriving in Jamaica on Sunday.
